1. PURPOSE
RentalPay is a peer-to-peer fashion rental marketplace built on trust, safety, and responsible user behavior.
These Community Guidelines define acceptable conduct for all users interacting on the platform.
Violation of these Guidelines may result in:
Content removal
Listing restrictions
Deposit holds
Temporary suspension
Permanent account termination
Legal escalation in severe cases
2. RESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR
Users must:
Treat others respectfully
Communicate professionally
Avoid abusive or threatening behavior
Cooperate during disputes and exchanges
The following are prohibited:
Harassment
Bullying
Hate speech
Threats
Intimidation
Discrimination
Stalking
Defamation
Explicit or sexually abusive conduct
RentalPay maintains zero tolerance for serious misconduct.
3. HONEST LISTINGS
Owners must ensure listings are:
Accurate
Truthful
Non-misleading
Updated regularly
Users must NOT:
Upload fake images
Misrepresent product quality
Hide defects intentionally
Use heavily edited/deceptive photos
Post counterfeit items
Repeated misleading listings may result in permanent bans.
4. PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following are strictly prohibited on RentalPay:
Counterfeit designer products
Replica fashion items
Illegal goods
Stolen property
Adult/explicit materials
Dangerous items
Weapons
Offensive content
Biohazardous or unhygienic items
RentalPay may immediately remove prohibited content without notice.
5. HYGIENE & ITEM QUALITY
Owners should provide items that are:
Clean
Wearable
Hygienic
Reasonably maintained
Users must not intentionally return:
Excessively dirty items
Damaged items
Smoke-contaminated products
Permanently stained clothing
Severe hygiene violations may lead to penalties or account restrictions.
6. FAIR RENTAL PRACTICES
Users must:
Respect booking timelines
Return items on time
Communicate honestly during delays
Handle rented products responsibly
Users must NOT:
Intentionally damage items
Refuse legitimate returns
Abuse security deposit systems
Manipulate disputes fraudulently
7. SAFETY DURING PICKUP & DROP
Since RentalPay currently supports self-pickup and self-return arrangements, users should:
Prefer public meeting locations
Avoid isolated areas
Verify items during exchange
Prioritize personal safety
RentalPay is not responsible for offline interactions between users.
8. PLATFORM ABUSE & SECURITY
Users must NOT:
Attempt hacking or unauthorized access
Probe platform vulnerabilities
Perform DDoS/stress attacks
Use bots for abusive automation
Scrape platform data
Upload malware or malicious code
Attempt payment manipulation
Exploit platform bugs intentionally
Security abuse may result in:
Immediate bans
IP restrictions
Reporting to cybersecurity authorities
Legal action
9. FRAUD & SCAMS
The following are prohibited:
Fake payments
Chargeback abuse
Identity impersonation
Fake accounts
Stolen payment methods
Deposit scams
Off-platform payment manipulation
RentalPay reserves the right to:
Freeze transactions
Delay payouts/refunds
Request verification documents
Permanently restrict accounts
10. OFF-PLATFORM TRANSACTIONS
Users are strongly discouraged from:
Circumventing RentalPay payments
Conducting rental deals privately after platform discovery
Sharing payment details to avoid platform systems
Doing so:
Increases fraud risk
Removes platform protections
May result in account penalties
11. CONTENT RULES
Users may not upload or share:
Copyright-infringing content
Fake brand claims
Pornographic material
Violent imagery
Spam
Malware links
Misleading promotional content
By uploading content, users confirm they possess necessary rights or permissions.
12. REPORTING VIOLATIONS
Users may report:
Fraud
Counterfeit items
Harassment
Safety concerns
Policy violations
RentalPay may investigate reports and take action at its sole discretion.
False or malicious reporting may itself violate platform rules.
13. ENFORCEMENT RIGHTS
RentalPay reserves unrestricted rights to:
Remove listings
Restrict visibility
Freeze transactions
Suspend accounts
Permanently ban users
Cooperate with law enforcement
without prior notice where necessary for safety or legal compliance.
14. NO GUARANTEE OF USER CONDUCT
RentalPay does not guarantee:
User honesty
Item authenticity
User identity accuracy
Offline behavior
Successful dispute outcomes
Users interact at their own risk.
15. CHANGES TO GUIDELINES
RentalPay may modify these Community Guidelines at any time without prior notice.
Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of revised guidelines.
