1. INTRODUCTION
This Shipping & Self-Pickup Policy explains how item collection and return currently operate on RentalPay.
At present, RentalPay does NOT provide:
Courier services
Home delivery
Logistics handling
Shipping partnerships
Packaging services
All rentals currently operate through direct self-pickup and self-drop arrangements between users.
By using the platform, users agree to this Policy.
2. CURRENT DELIVERY MODEL
RentalPay currently supports ONLY:
✅ Self Pickup
The renter collects the item directly from the owner or agreed meeting location.
✅ Self Return / Self Drop
The renter returns the item personally after the rental duration ends.
RentalPay does NOT currently offer:
Doorstep delivery
Courier pickup
Third-party shipping
Platform-managed transportation
3. USER RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Renter Responsibilities
Renters are responsible for:
Arriving on time for pickup/drop
Verifying item condition during pickup
Returning items within agreed timelines
Maintaining item safety during possession
Bearing personal transportation costs
B. Owner Responsibilities
Owners are responsible for:
Providing accurate pickup details
Making items available as agreed
Ensuring items reasonably match listing descriptions
Cooperating during pickup/return coordination
4. MEETING & EXCHANGE SAFETY
Users acknowledge that all exchanges are user-managed interactions.
RentalPay strongly recommends:
Meeting in public locations
Avoiding isolated areas
Verifying item condition during exchange
Maintaining respectful conduct
RentalPay is NOT responsible for:
Offline interactions
Personal disputes
Theft
Assault
Harassment
Injury
Property damage
Unsafe meeting arrangements
Users interact entirely at their own risk.
5. PICKUP VERIFICATION
Users may be required to:
Show booking confirmation
Verify OTPs where applicable
Confirm identity details
Provide return confirmation
Failure to complete verification steps may:
Delay transactions
Affect deposit release
Trigger account review
6. LATE PICKUP OR RETURN
Late pickups or delayed returns may result in:
Cancellation
Reduced refund eligibility
Deposit deductions
Temporary account restrictions
Additional charges where applicable
Repeated delays may impact platform access.
7. ITEM CONDITION DURING EXCHANGE
Users are strongly advised to inspect items:
Before accepting pickup
During return handoff
This includes checking for:
Damage
Missing accessories
Stains
Alterations
Hygiene concerns
Disputes raised long after exchange completion may be difficult to verify.
8. NO SHIPPING LIABILITY
Since RentalPay currently does NOT provide logistics services, RentalPay shall not be liable for:
Transportation issues
Travel expenses
Fuel costs
Delays caused by users
Missed pickups
Miscommunication between users
Lost items during personal transport
9. FUTURE LOGISTICS SERVICES
RentalPay may introduce:
Courier partnerships
Delivery integrations
Shipping features
Pickup scheduling systems
in future platform updates.
Such services, if introduced, may become subject to separate logistics or shipping terms.
10. PLATFORM ROLE DISCLAIMER
RentalPay acts solely as a digital marketplace facilitating peer-to-peer rental coordination.
RentalPay:
Does NOT supervise physical exchanges
Does NOT guarantee user behavior
Does NOT provide transportation insurance
Does NOT physically handle products
Users assume full responsibility for in-person exchanges.
11. POLICY MODIFICATIONS
RentalPay may update this Policy at any time without prior notice.
Continued use of the platform after modifications constitutes acceptance of revised policies.
